Just installed my new motherboard and cpu (Asus strix B560 and i7 10700k.) when I power off the system the motherboard stays lit. Any thoughts??

Do you have armoury crate installed? There is a section for shutdown settings. Set it to off.
You can change this in bios also, but with armoury crate installed, it may revert it without changing it in the software.
