TLDR: Best headset for large head?
Hey all, my G430 just kicked the bucket — only 1 side is responding. Not sure what happened, but I’ve had them for a few years so maybe it’s just time. I have a pretty big head, so am looking for suggestions for a new headset under $100. Don’t really care for wireless, because I’d rather not have to be charging it constantly. I really liked the G430s, but they were a cheap headset and felt like it.
I ordered a set of Corsair HS50 Pro because I like the styling and the fact that the mic is removable when not in use. I use the mic about 15% of the time so it’s needed, but I like the idea of having just a regular headset when I don’t need the mic. I like the price, and the build quality seems like a major step up with the metal construction and nice earpads vs the G430. The problem: they make my head feel like it’s being squeezed into oblivion!
Long story short, what’s a good headset with removable/retractable/etc mic at a reasonable price that won’t change my head shape from squeezing so hard?

Get the Phillips SHP9500 and a Vmoda pro boom mic. It’s not branded for gaming, but it’s the best $100 you can spend.

Anything Corsair is shit these days. They focus on quantity not quality like they used to. Try Logitech.
